About Us

beliefs

The Church of the Sacred Body is a non-hierarchical spiritual collective who believes in the sanctity of bodily autonomy and the ways we practice it in our daily lives. While many of us hold this as a moral, political, or philosophical position, we see the relationship and alignment between body and spirit as a critical part of our spiritual practice. We do not ask belief or non-belief in specific manifestations of deity or spirit, only that our members’ practice of their bodily autonomy falls along spiritual lines.

our practice

We are an open practice. All are welcome to join and incorporate our practices into their own. The founding meeting consists of a reading, meditation, and discussion, but we encourage others to start their own meetings structured to best serve the needs of their respective congregations. Some of us engage in communal HRT and prayer. We encourage meetings to share resources and ideas between each other, and also to contact us for inclusion on our calendar.
